I'm completely puzzled -- I've tried the disk image (downloaded from 
the ftp server) in 2 different machines.

After you launch the installer, choose "Show Log" from the file menu 
and then change the popup in the log window to "show everything" and 
run the install as far as you can -- post the results.

Is it possible that there's a problem on non-English systems?

Is the installer working for anyone?

I just reproduced the problem -- I think it happened after cancelling 
out of an install.

I got the log below.

At the end of the log, there is a message:

Jan 18 19:20:24 : Reason: Can't open package 
/Library/Receipts/Webcam.pkg (there was an error reading the file 
Webcam.bom).

I moved that file out of /Library/Receipts/ and installed again, this 
time successfully.

Does this work for you? (save the damaged file as we may want to send 
it to Apple DTS)
