beta driver IOXWebcamX-1.1.2a23

I'm using the beta driver IOXWebcamX-1.1.2a23
a Pismo, OS X 10.3.9, BTV pro 5.4.3b2,
Skype 2.0.0.6

Using  both, either my Philips Webcam SPC900NC or my Phillips ToUCam
PCVC740K results in an immediate crash of Skype 2.0.0.6 when trying to set
the video settings.

With BTV pro 5.4.3b2 there is no chance to set the color - white balance -
parameter (daylight, tungsten, fluorescent ...) Every picture looks blue,
see BTV-JPEG-17.01.2-1247_31.jpg - should be daylight!
