No (the message you replied to came through the list), but you may
need to adjust any mail filters to reflect the change in name.

If it helps anyone, the most reliable filter would be:

Header "List-Id:" contains <video-beta-discuss.lists.ioxperts.com>

This is the only list really running at the moment as we need it for
the release -- I'll get the rest up after I get this bug fixed.

I changed the name for a couple reasons including:

1) The old name/IP are still getting pounded with spam

2) Preventing forged mail from the old address getting past peoples filters

3) The old IP address is probably going to be in a few blacklists for awhile

So far, not.

Fortunately, one of the list members in Europe sent a message to my
personal account warning me that spam was getting through the server.

I was able to immediately (physically) unplug the sever and notify my
ISP of the problem. I got a reply from them later in the morning that
they and received 94 complaints of spam from that IP address over 8
hours.

Fortunately, I have a very good ISP (speakeasy.net), who has offered
to help clean up 3) and diagnose how the machine was attacked.

(I currently have the old server attached to the 2nd ethernet port on
one of my development machines with the networks configured so that
it can't get out, but I can pull data off it through the machine it's
connected to)

I spent most of Friday figuring out how to transfer Mailman lists
between machines and get the old list running under Mac OS X Server.
The new machine is a Dual G5 and has Spamassassin and ClamAV in front
to the list server.

(Normally the list blocks mail from non-subscribers, but it's still
getting pounded with attempts)

I had planned on upgrading the server (which is slow, loud and hot)
after we shipped, so this just forced the issue.

Anyway, please let me know if you see any problems with the list, but
I'm going to spend today fixing the problem with serial numbers not
sticking before we have too many more downloads.

Also, if there are any of you who are planning on being around today
and would be willing to test builds, please drop me a note off list.
I can also be reached via iChat at <aim://stevesisak>.

HTH,

-Steve
