We're working on it -- the current state is that the installer works 
perfectly but the driver doesn't load.

(Not executing our code yet -- all Installer/Bundle/dyld problems)

Believe me, we're working on it -- this in not fun, I haven't touched 
a line of _code_ in 3 weeks.

There's clearly something wring in a resource or packaging somewhere, 
but we haven't found it yet.

The iSight is supported by Apple's driver on 10.3 or 10.2 with a KEXT 
shipped with the retail iChat AV installer. I don't have the 
installer anymore but you might try copying the KEXT out of a 10.3 
installation.

No it wasn't. :-)

The iSight CCD is only 640x480 -- Apple's IIDC digitizer has a 
feature (considered a bug by most developers) where VDMaxSourceRect() 
reports 1600x1200 for any camera connected instead of the actual CCD 
size.

Simplistically written video applications will request a 1600x1200 
window which will cause the 640x480 image returned by the camera to 
be scaled up by the Sequence Grabber.

You can grab at 640x480 and scale up yourself with no loss of quality.
