QuickCam Pro 5000 question

Using IOExperts 1.1.2a17 driver on my G5/Tiger, I succeeded in  
running the webcam.

However yesterday Identifier saw no camera and I couldn't revive it  
without a restart and having all my USB peripherals unplugged

I don;t know whether the latter was relevant, but the 3rd thing I did  
was to uninstall aMSN.

Is there a conflict between the IOX driver and aMSN?
if so, can you suggest another MSN-compatible video application?
